Yes, it is.... tough game on the eyes though with UVA involved! They will be very good this year.

Ackerman is killin it!

Looks like
@BIGEASTMBB
will be participating in the PAC-12 Coast-to-Coast Challenge in 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons. Eight teams from Big East will play PAC-12 teams in Vegas in 2021 and then same teams would play in NY in 2022. Hopefully #UConn involved H/T

I think it'll only be four Big East teams.

"Meanwhile, eight new teams from the Pac-12 and Big East will meet in Vegas. Those eight will then play in New York in 2022, possibly at the under-construction Belmont Park Arena."

I could see them doing something similar to next year Oregon/Baylor with Stanford/UConn playing each other in both men's and women's basketball.

Either way, this is a great job by Ackerman and her staff not to get complacent with the challenges we have, but continue to provide Q1 opportunities.

Would make sense for it to be the four teams left out of one of the two main challenges, so that everyone gets two high-major challenges.

We have one team left out of the B12 Battle and three left out of the Gavitt Games, yes. This would be yet another magnificent progression by Val and the BE leadership, if true. It would guarantee, annually, 20 conference games and 2 P5 matchups, minimum.

Just, wow. Challenges with the Big Ten, Big 12 AND PAC 12? Remarkable. Between this, UConn coming home, our success last year, and our potential in future years... the future is very bright indeed. Next step? TV contact extension and bump.

Whatever Val gets paid, it’s well earned. Best BE commissioner since Gavitt, easy.

8 vs 8 I hate it.
4 vs 4 I like it a lot.

And it probably is 4 vs 4 seeing that it'll be one big event. This is pretty unique.

This also means Nova's scheduling work is basically just picking dates.

Yes, the court and video branding and the fans will make it a truly unique and cool conference challenge. I hope it’s the top four teams from each conference so you’re talking about almost ever team nationally ranked.
