The good thing is 3 open scholies to add depth...via frosh or transfers.

We will basically have the same guard depth next year that we did this year, right? Mintz didn't play this year and Windham played a total of 106 minutes of garbage time. Assuming we lose Tyshon, we are basically trading Tyshon for Antwann Jones in our rotation. In addition, i think you have "slotted" guys into positions that doesn't translate to how McDermott used his guys this year. Specifically, i think the first game starting line up will be:
Zegarowski
Ballock
Jefferson
Mahoney
Bishop

Jones may replace Tyshon in the rotation, but I think Mahoney will take his place in the starting line up. As Tyshon's 35 mpg game are divvied up, at least 10 (IMO) will go to Denzel, who played 22 minutes a game this year. Bishop has shown what he can do with his 6'7" and will be our starter (again, IMO) with a healthy Epperson (off the bench, at least initially) being a huge bonus if that happens. If Epp and Kalk both end up being healthy and productive, we could see some lineups with Bishop at the "4" (if you want to use that terminology) but I think we'll see Mahoney get the most minutes in that spot. He clearly earned them. Jefferson played 27 mpg and that could/should tick up as well.

But, at this point, i just really want to see college basketball season in 20/21.

I agree it will be pretty much like last year. We got lucky we no major injuries during the year though (until Zegarowski at the end). Unfortunately we have NO guard depth at all. Jones is pretty much backing up Ballock/Jefferson/Mahoney. If someone gets hurt, Mitchell would have to backup everyone except the center. I expect we will get a grad transfer or a high school guard. There is no way we can go into the season with 6 players for 4 positions (Bishop is a tough sell at the 4 unless he can develop his shot).

I haven't been here a lot lately, so this may have been discussed 3 weeks ago, but Warren Nolan had Creighton winning the BE Tourney and then advancing to the National Final.

...nice of Warren to say so. Woulda, coulda, shoulda...if so would have gone down as our greatest team and 1st to break the 30 win glass ceiling.

As Jet said - MZ probably would not have played. Oh well. :(

TSA officially going pro and signing with an agent. Would love it if CU could steal Kerwin Walton from UNC as he makes his announcement this weekend.

Does anyone think that TSA's decision to leave CU has anything to do with uncertainty about next year's collegiate season due to coronavirus? Maybe it's better to be in the G-League getting paid and training against other NBA hopefuls rather than maybe not practice or train much at Creighton? I assume G-League because it doesn't sound like he ranks very high on anyone's draft board. While I have loved having him as a Jay, I have a hard time seeing him in the NBA: not quick enough to be a point guard, and maybe he's not long enough nor is his shot quick enough to be a two.

We are hearing more and more 'whispers' about there possibly not being a fall NCAA sports season, and if that's the case, basketball could be swept up in it as well.

I will be totally bummed if there's no 2020-21 hoops season.

From Jon Nyatawa, the creighton beat writer:

The official NBA draft early entry list is out. Creighton notes...

Ty-Shon Alexander: DECLARED (going pro)

Denzel Mahoney: DECLARED (signed with NCAA-certified agent; can still return to school)

Damien Jefferson: DECLARED

Marcus Zegarowski: DID NOT DECLARE
