If there were workouts and Europe was open...Naji would be long gone.
As it is, probably gone anyway.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

Xavier as a team was a very poor 3 point shooting team. The higher 3 point shooters shot the least amount of 3PFG.

Naji, Quentin, and Scruggs did not take a step forward this past year. That was NOT expected. As for following Xavier for more than 30+ years, this was the lowest IQ(dumbest) team I've watched. The freshman played with higher IQ than the 3 mentioned.

Naji was a high volume shooter that was a below average shooter. That is not a good combination. His numbers(PPG) looked good but only because of the number of shots he took. He also did not pass to wide open players who were better outside shooters.

It's easy to run plays to get someone an open outside shot when your team really don't have any outside shooters. If the team had outside shooters then everything changes.

As for the coaching, yeah Travis could have done a better job IMO but the biggest question....Is he going to make the jump into being a better coach or is he going to be what we see right now? Jury is still out.

From yesterday, Naji Marshall appears to have called it a college career and not only declared for the draft but signed with an agent

Good complementary pieces. After last season's roster being a really bad case of talented-but-mismatched pieces, Steele and the staff have been really careful this offseason in terms of who they go after. They have talked to A LOT of grad transfers but they haven't gone all in on many of them. These two dudes are two of the ones they really thought would fit with the other pieces so they pushed pretty hard for them. I wish they got Elijah Olaniyi as a sit-one-play-one, but that fast recruitment ended up going to Miami.

Yup. I'm fine with picking up a perimeter dude who can't shoot if the team is already full of shooters, but Xavier isn't there right now.

CJ Wilcher is the first Big East PLAYER that I've run across to go public in such detail. And this from an incoming FRESHMAN!

Thinking Xavier has a surefire leader in this kid....for basketball and beyond!
