What I don't get is why didn't they let them finish the game? No one there was being put in any MORE danger by staying for another hour. I get not starting any new games, but at least let the kids finish the game you told them to start. Nothing that radical changed in that building in that hour from tip to halftime whistle. It seems more like the league realized everyone else canceled and they felt they needed to cancel as well asap as opposed to any real need to keep people safe.

They were afraid that each time Jett Canfield scored, everyone gasped and raised the risk of spreading the virus.

Agreed. Especially this year when I think the conference was stronger than ever. I thought this would be the year we had a bunch of teams go deep in the NCAAs so we could shut up all of the naysayers (except Stever, because sadly, we’ll never shut him up)

I think the 2nd round would have been really interesting. Don't think Xavier makes it, and Marquette while yes would have had Howard vs teams who haven't seen him- don't think they survive 1st weekend.... Providence could have- if they aren't a 7-8 seed with a brutal bracket... Butler, Seton Hall, Creighton(who knows with the injury), and Nova- all 4 would have had 2nd rd tests.

Could the league have gotten 3 in? Maybe. Could it have been only 1 or 2? Maybe.

The absolute sad part of things, no matter how you roll, it sucks that we'll never find out.
