Damn CU! That's a quality win! Didn't see it watching Butler take down X. :D

Pete Gillen should not be calling Xavier games. As if it isn’t bad enough hearing him repeatedly refer to Xavier as “we” on a “national” broadcast, once Butler took control of the game, he basically went silent and sounded disinterested in the rest of the game.

So of course St John's is beating Providence by 11 pretty early.

That's what he does. He's just not a good broadcaster. And I love Pete, but he's bad.

Once again, Powell's shot simply hasn't been right since the concussion. Couldn't watch tonight so I don't have much else to say, but nice win CU.

Didn't think I'd say this, but Mac deserves a lot of credit for this season. I'm quite impressed. Definitely his best coaching job of his Creighton career.

That being said, there's still too much time left for all of this to be ruined. So here's hoping for the best! Very happy with the win tonight!

Seriously, the toughness in this team compared to a year ago? The difference is night and day. Love to see it.

That was crazy how both Nova and Marquette's best FT shooters kept bricking FTs in the last minutes.

The top of the conference is very very competitive, probably for the first time since the realignment.

Gillen is light years better than Sad Sack Spanarkel (did Villanova-Marquette game), and triple light years better than dopey Steve Lappas, who we had to listen to in the PC-SJU game with that annoying voice. Wow, Lappas is bad-- his voice, his analysis, everything.

Top FS1 announcers are of course Gus and Raftery,; and also Tim Brando, Tarik Turner, Donny Marshall... i'm fine with Simpkins for reasons mentioned in the past... Vin Parise is good, Bahe is fine, i like Lisa Byington... i think i heard Dave Sims a few times and he's really good.

Basically i want a knowledgeable announcer who's not a sad sack and cynical, and who seems to be enjoying the game and not being an ass or a sourpuss (sourpusses include like Sean McDonough, Jay Bilas, Billy Packer, or an idiot like Dan Dakitch, those smarmy types). Jeez, they have like the greatest job in the world, getting paid to watch top flight basketball and shoot the breeze for a couple of hours in front of a microphone. What's not to like?!

Given our experience there and what I learned about Marquette playing there tonight, Finnigan has it in for Jesuits.

You mean you didn't enjoy watching Pipkins make multiple easy soft passes directly at shocked Johnnies defenders? It's like when a quarterback throw a pass directly at a linebackers chest-- the LB's reaction is complete shock. I mean, how freakin bad is Pipkins? Probably the worst Friar player in my lifetime. Holy shit he's bad. My favorite play is when Pipkins has the ball, and the shot clock is at 7 seconds, and of course Pip wants to shoot, but 7 seconds is an eternity... so he delays a little, makes believe no one is open, gets the clock down to :02, then jacks up a contested 35 footer. That's my favorite play, especially when it just banks off the backboard and doesn't hit rim.
