still a Q1 win, which Cincy needed...

UConn got in the top 75 which will help some teams out conversely.

There’s a saying about a leopard and his spots. Stever my man at least you are consistent.

It apparently went unnoticed by stever that your post concerned the one-day volatility of Net Rankings.

Stever saw the word "Tulsa" and predictably ran with the ball. The CBS Sports link below is worth a look for those of you interested.

With SJU's win last night, the entire conference is now top 67.

5 teams safely in top 30
Every team safely in top 75

Memphis with another choke-job last night at Cincinnati. With the level of expectations for that program this year, you'd think Penny was the second coming of Coach K. Alas, Cincinnati, with home win, actually moved DOWN in the NET by a spot. Hard to see more than three teams for the AAC this season.

They're a conference that could easily get a bid thief to make 4. If Lunardi is right- they have 3 in right now- with none even going to Dayton. Then it'd be easy to see someone outside of Houston, Wichita, or Cincy win the tourney.

They thought Penny would bring in so much talent that they couldn't lose. The truth is, I think they'd be solidly in the tournament if Tubby was still there. They were never going to reach the heights under Tubby that they did with Cal, which is why they ran him off. Tubby can coach, but he's never been a schmoozer, or one willing to get down in the filthiness of the AAU driven recruiting scene to bring in the highest level talent, including players of questionable character, which is why he ultimately failed at Kentucky. Thus his ceiling was never going to rise above being on the fringes of the rankings.

What a mess for Stever - his worst nightmare comes true every year about this time for the AAC.

I think Stever's position is he favors good seeding over number of bids .... 3 total bids and a 7, 10 and 11 with one of those being the auto bid. Good Lord!

Big East has a 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 11.... not bad at all

Looks like the entire conference rose after Nova won by 20 on the road.

Creighton 14 to 13
Seton Hall 15 to 14
Nova 21 to 16
Marquette 18 to 19 (jumped by nova)
Butler 19 to 20 (jumped by nova)
Xavier 41 to 39
Georgetown 46 to 43
Providence 62 to 59
SJU 67 to 66
DePaul 71 to 69

No team in the AAC has 3 Quad 1 wins.
1 team in the A10 has 3 Quad 1 wins.

9 teams in the BE have 3 or more Quad 1 wins.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.
