Yeah, Xavier is probably the best of those 4 teams but what's going to hurt them is their lack of quality wins. They'll have plenty of chances, though.

really only 4 chances left now. Seton Hall, Nova, and Butler twice.... And that's assuming they win all the other games- with 4 of the 6 games being on the road.

Still a little too early to completely give up on Xavier, DePaul, Georgetown and St. John's. At this point I think 5 teams make it (with excellent seeds on average) but there's a solid chance at least one of those 4 can go on a run. Just don't ask me who, because I don't have much confidence in any of them individually.

This league is so deep it's quite possible we get 6 or 7 in if the PC pulls away from the bottom and has some quality wins and one of the bottom 4 make a run at MSG in the BET. All four have the ability to do so since I think there is no real dregs in this conference this year.

Yeah, not to get too much into it now because I haven't looked that closely, but some of those teams I think would get in with 7-11 records and a win or 2 in the BET. Seems that at least 1 of the 4 could go 5-4 or 6-3 from here on out.

Lets look-
Providence 7-11 would get them to 14-17. Would need BET to make tourney
Xavier 7-11 would get them to 18-13. Would need 1 win over a top 6 team to make tourney.
Georgetown 7-11 would get them to 17-14. Would need at least 1 win over a top 6 team to make tourney, maybe 2.
St John's 7-11 would get them to 18-13. Would need at least 1 win over a top 6 team to make tourney.
DePaul 7-11 would get them to 18-12(vs d1). would need at least 1 win over a top 6 team to make tourney.

Big part of it is does 7-11 get them in the top 6 where they'd see 3 seed Butler/Creighton/Marquette or do they finish 7 where they have to play 10 seed and then either Nova or Seton Hall....

Heres stevers time of the year when its all "the big east wont catch any breaks and will get the minimum amount of teams in while the AAC will get all the breaks and get the maximum amount of teams in.

lol.. The problem is the bottom 5 teams are in a position where to make the tourney, they all need to pull off at least 2 upsets quite frankly of the upper tier games(and dominate the bottom teams)… Like it or not, but 5 teams right now is by far the likeliest scenario for the Big East.

Now, I think getting 5 in with the seeds projected is far better than getting 7 in, but crapping on the seeds of the top teams.

No team with a 7-11 conference record has ever received an NCAA Tournament At-large invitation.

What is happening in this game? Regardless of how this game finishes, the first 12 minutes of X-SH has been crazy.

Not on my computer now so won't check, but I'm pretty sure 7-11 teams and even one 6-12 team (Georgia around 2000) have received at large bids. If St. John's got one last year at 8-10 in a down Big East then 7-11 is certainly in play.

If you listen to XU fans, their team isn’t very good. So I sort of expect Hall will rally and win but this has to be a concern for Hall fans.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.
