Check the seed lines, Lunardi isnt a very good bracketologist to be fair....Big East seems to be sacrificing a couple bids to get better seeds.

After Liberty and Northern Iowa lost bad games in the last week, it seems unlikely either would get at large bids yet he's got the ASUN and MVC with two bids each.

Agree. Plus, Bracket matrix has 3 Big East schools among the first 6 out.

WOW those seed lines! LOL

The WORST seed among the Big East's 5 is a 6 seed
The BEST seed among the American's 4 is an 8 seed

Also, he's only giving the American 3 at large bids - he's got Tulsa on the 12 line as an auto-bid (as current conference leader) when both play-in games on are on the 11 line, meaning unless they win the AAC Tourney, Tulsa's out.

There's no spin that makes this close lol

That's why # of tourney bids is so stupid IMO as a measure of conference strength. Obviously the Big East ismuch stronger than the AAC this year. But it being only 5 to 4 in tourney bids makes things seem really close.... Just like Big East and Big Ten very close in how good they are but the # of teams making it makes it seem like not close at all....

Not a game result but still kind of fits the "wait, what?" theme. Central Michigan-Miami (OH) postponed due to possible coronavirus threat. Yikes.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

the fact that we haven't completely shut off travel yet is mind boggling

Now there has been a person to person case confirmed in the US. So that's great.

I'll bet dollars to donuts BigX doesn't get 11 in. Minnesota and Purdue are #9 and 10 in their standings right now, and both have a legit shot at ending up with losing records (not just in conference, but overall). Not impressed with either team at this point. Michigan sits at 12th in conference right now is the only other team with any shot because of their high NET, but they are not a good team right now and are likely to end up several games under .500 in conference. And Indiana is currently with an NET of 44 - squarely on the bubble, IMO. They could still play their way up, but they may also fall off. Any could get hot and go on a run I guess, but I don't see that happening. My guess is 9 and no more than 10, with the 10th probably in a play-in game if it gets in. An upset conf tournament winner or two in the ACC, West Coast or elsewhere is going to also work against BigX. Caveat: Only way I remotely see 11 is one of the bottom teams jumps up and wins the conference tournament - but even then I think it just knocks out the team that might have otherwise gotten into the play in game.

This year? Did I go to sleep and miss something since 2013?
...he went up late, and I was already up there.
