That is hilarious. I remember last summer, Marquette's recruiting board was accidentally shown in a Twitter video. It correctly predicted a few roster moves before being announced. Part of the consequences of giving more access to fans for content purposes I suppose.

It shouldn't be an issue for UConn to sit out one of the challenges next year. Simple math should allow that to happen. Looks like the makings of a solid OOC schedule. Still needs one more P program to play IMO, probably at home.

looking they have 7 home OOC games. leaves 17 home games. Sounds like a lot, but that would be 4th time in 6 seasons with at least 17 home games(with a 5th at 16).

Makes sense that UConn would be included in just 1 of the Gavitt Games/Big XII challenge in their first year. Obviously they were always going to get at least 1 as no school should ever have to sit both in the same year. However, with a couple Big East schools (Butler and Xavier) that have already sat out multiple Gavitt Games, I'd have actually been surprised if UConn was included in both in year 1.

While that's very courteous of him, it will be interesting to see how this works for the Big 12 Battle since it was designed as a 10x10 with everyone involved. I bet UCONN doesn't participate in that one or else how does Val tell someone they are being left out next year?

A team that has an adventurous OOC schedule already might look to be left out? Take Seton Hall from this year. If they knew they already had Atlantis, Gavitt game, Maryland, etc. do they ask to be excluded from the B12 challenge?

She tells them they get to play UConn twice (with a guaranteed home game) instead. I agree that I think they'll play the Gavitts and sit out the Big XII challenge in year 1 but I'm not really sure that would be the issue. It's a good deal all around.

Creighton has been in every Gavitt game so far so Im sure they will probably sit out.

Will the one who sits out the Big 12 challenge be one of the 4 who played in 2 game series with the Big 12 with 2nd game this season and was folded into the challenge-
Providence/Texas
Marquette/Kansas St
Villanova/Kansas
Creighton/Oklahoama

I could see one of those 4 sit out next season easily.

So I'd kind of guess UConn gets B12 game, while skipping Gavitt game.
