1/6 poll:
#6 Butler
#16 Villanova
RV
#27 Seton Hall
#29 Marquette
#30 Xavier
#33 Creighton

1/13 prediction:
#6 Butler (W @ Providence)- don't think they'll pass #3 Kansas (1 point L vs #4 Baylor) even though they should.
#13 Villanova (W @ Creighton & W vs Georgetown)- should pass #11 Ohio St (2 Ls), #12 Maryland (blowout L @ Iowa), #15 Dayton (2 Ws vs weak competition & Nova is only 10 points behind).
#22 Seton Hall (W @ Xavier & vs W Marquette)- should pick up at least 5 spots for beating 2 teams who received a lot of votes. Frankly should be a lot higher, but I don't think the AP will accurately rank them. Should be around their NET of #17.

Don't really care about RV, but obviously teams like Creighton will still have some.

Tomorrow will easily be our best AP poll since OOC play, maybe even the best this year. We won't have 4 teams representing us like we did in mid-December, but the rankings will be higher.

Creighton would need to jump 9 teams, and I don't see it happening unless there's a transfer of votes between BE teams. My best guess #26.

Teams they'll pass:
Washington
Houston
Xavier
Marquette
Arizona
Texas Tech

Maybe:
Wisconsin
Arkansas
Colorado (if last week's oversight is corrected)
Penn State

Unlikely:
Iowa
Virginia

With Kansas getting stomped at home by Baylor, you would think Butler would jump to #5. I also believe Baylor has a shot of moving to #1.

I also think Seton Hall could make a big jump into the teens. Once they get Mamu back, watch out. Wednesday's game is going to be a very good one.

Surprised Creighton made the poll, props to AP voters.

It surpasses the Bulldogs' 8th rank on 2/18/08 for the highest in program history.

Congratulations to the Butler Bulldogs!

With that, Xavier and Butler officially have the exact same number of weeks in the AP Top 25 this century at 121 weeks. That equates to 30.8% of the polls over the last twenty years.
