But the D has been fantastic; the shots will start falling. Kansas, Xavier, @Marq & @Creighton. I would have taken 2-2 in that stretch. 3-1? All day.

As usual an absolutely great college BB atmosphere last nite in Omaha, as the English would say, Nova committed a "smash and grab victory" last night. We plain stole that one. Our O continues to struggle and that's being generous, but boy has our D vastly improved.

Newsflash... every game in the BE this year is going to be a prison shower shiv fight.

Unfortunately for Creighton, the little guy with shorter reach usually comes out on the wrong end of a shiv fight.

I have no clue why Mac would have taken the top player on the team last night (Bishop) out of the game with a minute and a half to go, shortly after he made a couple of big plays.

That was him. I sat right behind the bench and you could tell it was him clear as day.

I kind of get it, though, because you have Providence's best shooter covered 35 feet from the hoop. They forced a contested shot to be taken by a 25% shooter, and there was so little time left that if he missed, the game was probably over.

Although it's still early...only 3 games in...my Jays have let 2 beautiful opportunities slide to the wayside. Yes, there are no "bad games" in the BE, but W's are the only things worth counting.
Poor performances vs the 2 ranked teams will come back to haunt us come March. There are no moral victories, only W's on the court. Hard for CU to be taken seriously when they blow winnable games.
