Fascinating. Gonzaga is #1 in AP and Coaches polls.
#7 in NET
#46 in RPI.
Would be nice to know how they calculate (exactly) the NET.

No it wouldn't ruin good seeds.... The AAC can get 4 teams finishing with 13+ wins. Last year they had 4 with 13+ wins and also a 11 and 10 win team(that depending the team can make the tourney). You can do that with a 12 team/18 game schedule.

Today’s NET:

22 - Creighton
24 - Nova
25 - Marquette
27 - Seton Hall
43 - Xavier
47 - St. John’s
58 - Georgetown
77 - DePaul
98 - PC

And then there’s Stever’s AAC:
9 - Wichita State Community College
23 - Memphis State
41 - Houston
57 - Temple
60 - SMU
89 - Cincinasty
97 - Future Big East Team
103 - Tulsa - OUCH!
108 - UCF - OUCH!
114 - Tulsa - OUCH!
127 - USF - OUCH!
241! - ECU - DOUBLE OUCH!

So Stever, our 2nd-to-last team is better than 58% of your league. WOOF!

Please stop taking the bait and allowing for some sort of a juxtaposition with that inferior conference. I don’t think we need Patriot League comparisons either. Everyone knows the Big East is an elite conference.

I think even joke conferences have message boards

Not taking the bait. Just rubbing it in his dumb face. It’s fun to be on the offensive against his dumb ass.

Jays lose at Butler and improve in NET to 22. Amazing how strong OOC play pays dividends in conference play.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

No matter what happens in conference play, our regular season will be a major success. Doesn't matter if Providence gets 12/13 wins. Doesn't matter if we get 5 teams in with excellent seeds. Doesn't matter if we get 8 teams in with mostly mediocre seeds. It's a success regardless of what happens.

Are there better and worse scenarios that could play out? Of course, but that doesn't take away from this being an excellent season.

The AAC is 3-17 vs. Quadrant 1 opponents so far this season. The Big East AAC is 21-19 vs. Quadrant 1 opponents (including 5 by Butler).

Quadrants are classified as follows, based on the location of the game with respect to the team under consideration and the ranking of its opponent in the NET as follows:

Quadrant .... Home ... Neutral Site ..... Away
..... 1 ......... 1–30 ......... 1–50 .......... 1–75
..... 2 ......... 31–75 ....... 51–100 ....... 76–135
..... 3 ........ 76–160 ..... 101–200 ..... 136–240
..... 4 ....... 161–353 ..... 201–353 ..... 241–353

Is the season over today? No it's not. DePaul just saw their NET drop in 1 week from 39 to 77. So that Q1 road win Seton Hall got on Monday. Gonzo. The loser of St John's/Georgetown on Wednesday going to drop. The loser of St John's/DePaul going to drop.

I still don’t get why we talk about the AAC here. They are totally irrelevant. They are a mid major conference with mostly mid major teams. The fact that one of their high profile schools is willing to go football independent to join the Big East tells you everything you need to know about them.
