yeah...

wonder what the floor is for Providence's rating. Dropped from 143 to 150 after last night. Kind of think Saturday if they lose would drop even more given it's a home game against a weaker opponent(I think).

It would take repeated double digit losses. I seriously doubt it gets bad enough to the point where they're tier 4 threats.

Well if you're playing them at home, if they got down below 160, they'd be tier 4. So not quite sure about that....

Fortunately, that would also mean they picked up a quality road win, which would hopefully give that number a boost.

A fair point. I'd guess it'd depend on just how many wins Providence gets. Tough to see many of them right now.

Big East now #1 in NET and RPI as a conference with 9 teams in the top 56 of NET. After slow start we really came on strong!

3 Butler
21 Villanova
26 Creighton
35 Georgetown
36 Seton Hall
37 DePaul
50 St John's
52 Marquette
56 Xavier
123 Providence

the key is going to be to see if Georgetown, Seton Hall, and DePaul could get into the top 30- giving home games Q1 status. And can Creighton and Nova maintain top 30.

If the tournament started today, Butler would definitely be a #1 seed. Definitely did not expect to see that coming. Jordan has done phenomenal job. I was apprehensive when he was hired to replace Holtmann, but - as usual with Butler - they have hired another strong coach that wins via the Butler Way.

FWIW, UConn is #70. It is crazy to think the league will be even deeper next year when they come on board, especially with all of the expected returning minutes they will have.
