CHICAGO -- After years of futility, DePaul basketball is finally heading in the right direction.
Jalen Coleman-Lands scored eight of his 18 points in overtime to lead DePaul to a 65-60 win over Texas Tech on Wednesday night.
DePaul (9-0) is off to its best start since the 1986-87 season when the Blue Demons started 16-0. They already have road wins against Iowa and Minnesota. They also overcame an 18-point deficit against Central Michigan. Now they're building their NCAA Tournament resume with a win against the 2018-2019 national runner-up. The last time DePaul made the tournament was in the 2003-04 season.

Wow. I certainly wasn't expecting 5-0!
Nova with a nice win over a tough Penn team. Was nervous about the one given what happened last year.
X with a solid double digit win.
Marquette's Howard was out, but they still won big.
Georgetown with an extremely surprising win. Maybe the BE's biggest upset this year (not best win, but biggest upset).
DePaul, like Butler, beats yet another F5 team in a game they were slight underdogs in. Not only that, but they were extremely clutch.
Excellent work all around!

By Ken-Pom, Georgetown's win over Oklahoma St the 2nd best in the league right now, behind only Marquette over Purdue. Only other top 40 wins right now are Creighton/DePaul over Texas Tech.
