What a mess.

We’ll take it.

Great effort UCONN. Way to fight.

Uh they won despite sorry foul shooting with Naji, Scruggs, and Goodin fouled out? Crazy.

We shot 38%, 62% from the line, turned it over 21 times, fouled out Goodin, Scruggs, and Marshall, and got 0 points from Quentin and won the game. don't ask me how.

I'm worried about the fatigue factor for Sunday's game.

I missed the Nova game but it looks like Gillespie played really well. What's up with Antoine not playing? We need him going forward.

Under the old RPI formula, beating UConn dropped us 4 spots.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

Well, for the UConn fans who think returning to the Big East is a mistake, Xavier and it's fans sent a pretty strong message last night. The Big East is the best. Wait until they play at Cintas.

Gillespie was the best player on the floor. Bey finally looked like the guy we were expecting him to be and JRE plays like Jalen Brunson if JB was a PF—old school game, very smart, always seems to make the right play. I wouldn’t read into BA not playing. Early physical battle and BA’s only been practicing for a week. Prob more about his (in)ability to pick up the defensive side of the ball yet. By conf start he’ll be a major contributor IMO.
My $0.02 on the late game. You have to give X credit to fighting to the end, especially when their big guns were watching from the bench. Love Fremantle; going to be a really good player for X. The refs were just awful. Naji hit some big shots when needed; he clearly thrives when the pressure is on.
I have always been a supporter of UConn returning to the BE. Last night was a good example of why. On a neutral court 2 well represented, proud fan bases watching a war and rooting like it was a March tourney game. Good stuff.

I watched the second half and the two overtimes of the UConn Xavier game. What an absolute War of Attrition that was. Great College atmosphere with the fans screaming at each other, it was a heck of a game. When Naji sunk that first long 3 to tie it, I was thinking to myself wow what a shot that was and if he had missed Steele was going to kill him! Then when he shot that 30-footer from 35 feet later I was thinking every single Xavier fan was screaming. " WHY?????????" Fun game to watch.

Actually Steele set up that play. Said he stole it from 'Nova. Second time Naji pulled it off. Not a secret anymore.

After last night, I’m guessing that there aren’t many UConn holdouts left who think this move back to the Big East isn’t a smart decision. There are *maybe* one or two programs/fan bases in the American that can help provide that type of atmosphere in Charleston. A great reminder of what UConn has been missing in the AAC. I’m sure they’re bummed because it was certainly a tough loss, but their fans have to be pumped at thought of the return of those kinds of games at MSG instead of in some empty gym in Orlando or Ft. Worth.
