I was told by a very reliable source on another board that the nBE would struggle to recruit against the football “Power 6” (yeah I chuckled as I had only heard the term “P5” but he insisted. Forget that’s guy’s name though. Anyone? Anyone? Beuller? Beuller? Frye? Stever? Doh!

Well, if it is any consolation, that "source" inevitably declared that he is as " big of a AAC fan as you get".

The BE/AAC debate and BE/Power Conference debate officially died when UConn announced it was leaving the AAC and joining the Big East - even though the data, on-court success and financials showed that in the years leading up to it. The debate became a comedy when the same people proclaiming the AAC as a power basketball league BECAUSE of UConn immediately turned and began arguing that AAC Basketball was now better WITHOUT UConn.

Like concluding so many long-winded and unnecessary arguments here, there, everywhere, you cannot argue a debate both ways and still say you are right in both cases.

Ok ok, the AAC actually IS top 15 in something: RPI! (at #15... thanks in large part to UConn)

NET by conference isn't available yet. I'm sure AAC will get up to #7 by the end of the season, but regardless not a good start.
