Merrimack incidentally is Augustinian, just like our Villanova compadres.

And it's their first year in D1. Located 20 minutes north of Boston in North Andover, near Lowell and Lawrence. Close to border with New Hampshire.

Fun fact: The river that divides Massachusetts from New Hampshire on their eastern boundary is the "Merrimac" River... the river doesn't have a "k" at the end. Might help on Jeopardy.

The friars started off real bad being down 20 to 8. In comes Nate Watson for the first time this year and the game turned around with the friars blowing out Merrimack for the final two thirds of the game. Alpha Diallo and AJ Reeves battling the flu and without standout freshman Greg Gantt whose mother passed away this weekend. Cooley said the team took it really hard as this team is a really close unit.
