Not likely, but the good news is they probably don't have to be. It'll make getting through this OOC schedule with a strong record much more difficult, but if they perform as expected when he returns the committee shouldn't hold that too strongly against them. On the other hand, the team being forced to play this tough OOC schedule without him should result in a stronger supporting cast come conference play.

IDK this worries me. the committee valued wins last year. if you lose too many ooc it'll become very difficult unless you tear through the big east, which is unlikely for anyone this year.

To build on this point, tyrique's per 40 stats right now are absurd.

Pts: 36.1
Rbs: 16.6
Blks: 2.9
FG%: 75%
PER: 47.3

Jonas Hayes is molding him into a monster.

Seton Hall will need to win games to get into the Tournament. They won't get any special bid consideration if they go on a big skid with Powell out, unfortunately.

Now, let's say if Hall goes on a skid the next few weeks but by the end of the season still has 20+ wins and a resume worthy of dancing. In that case, the NCAA would most likely seed them higher (for example, a 7 seed rather than 10). They just won't punch their ticket to the Dance if their resume isn't good enough, regardless of Powell's status for certain games.

Just have to hope this isn't too long of an injury. The other players at least did step up during the second half, but would be very surprised if they're still a Top 25 team without him. Their schedule will be extremely tough the next few weeks.

What's the story on Kamar Baldwin? Hurt in the 1st game...played only 5 mins. Didn't start the 2nd game...played 14 mins off the bench.
Are the coaches just being cautious or is the injury worse than expected? Inquiring Fantasy league minds want to know.

Looked like a bruised rib and he looked fine last night, but got a tough schedule upcoming and we're going to need him! Thomson has his back and might be the surprise guard of the season for the BE! Slicing and dicing so far with a DD and one turn over last game. Had 10 assists, should have had 5 or so more but the big guys were missing layups... ;) You read it here first, he's taken a nice leap forward!

imo an overly difficult ooc schedule is a mistake except for unique situations like uconn women's team. If SHU gets decimated ooc, Willard can only blame himself.

Getting those wins helped them last year get into the tournament. High risk, high reward.

Hmmm, looks like both the Hoyas and Jays lost some ARV votes? Win and lose votes...okay.
