Yeah, Wisconsin won tonight but it was a tight game against EIU (now 0-2 with a 25 pt loss to Texas Tech). Illinois looked real bad in the first half against Grand Canyon (recently lost to DII Davenport by 9) but they have pulled it together in the second half.

ECU almost pulled off the upset at Navy (preseason 9th place Patriot League team). It was a valiant effort.

I live 15 minutes from Merrimack's campus.

My thought pattern when I heard that Merrimack upset Northwestern: "That's not really an upset. Merrimack's been to the NCAA Tournament a few times in recent years. They're a scrappy team. And I didn't even know Northwestern had a hockey team."

Northwestern needs to join the CAA to be with Northeastern and the rest of their peers.
