I read the article, and maybe I missed it, but outside of TV revenue (during the summer months, which is hard enough to get people to watch anything), how are they going to cover the cost of the league? Not to mention they'll be competing with the WNBA, Summer League, The Big 3 and TBT, I'm having a hard time seeing how they are going to pay for this beyond their initial outlay of funds.
Also, are NBA teams going to draft a player in June that hasn't competed in a game since the previous September? I mean, it seems like their hearts are in the right place, but with the G League offering similar salaries and college basketball likely opening the door to player compensation, I just see too many obstacles to make this venture successful.
