Baldwin is on there, that makes 4. No Gillespie? Surprised that the usual Nova lovefest didn't come into play. Only 1 from the ACC and the B12 seems really odd. No shooters to be found on the West Coast but 7 from the SEC?

Xavier has to face 6 on this list but that's OK.....Q, Scruggs and Marshall are shutdown defenders.

Clearly you pay close attention to BE basketball...Gillespie is a PG on this team. Secondly, none of the X guys could have sniffed this list b/c it calls for players who can actually shoot the ball. Man, closer look at Q and Naji’s shooting #’s and you better hope they are good at stopping people, because they struggle with anything outside 5 feet.

I would have expected Antoine to make this list were he healthy to start the season. 2nd ranked SG in his recruiting class.

I think Xavier will be pretty damn tough. I could even see them finishing 2nd or 3rd. I think Seton Hall in the top 15 is good for the league but overrated. They beat Kentucky at MSG which was awesome, but it doesn't mean they're top 15 IMO. Any team can catch another on a bad day...look at my Johnnies taking down Duke twice in the last 10 yrs and almost 3x (2015). It didn't make us a top 15 team though. I think they rely too much on 1 player (Powell) and if defenses shut him down, their ship (pun intended) goes down as well. Teams like PC, Xavier, G'Town, Nova with several options to score more balanced seem to be tougher outs. We already gave SHU a chance to prove they belonged among the elite when they had a dream team with Delgado and they went out very early in the tourney. Yes you get tough matchups in the tourney, but who doesn't? Sorry I'm just not sold. It's not like they were running over teams...they won more games by single digits than any team I've seen in recent memory.

I know Gillespie is a point guard, it was a sarcastic comment.

BTW, if there were a case to be made for an X player to be on this list I would have made it. But I see you didn't miss an opportunity to take a jab anyway. 1st team ALL BE players don't "struggle" at anything and Q is a PG.

So the jab about the “usual Nova love fest“ and calling out Gillespie specifically was just you being sarcastic? Ok good to know.

So, I actually didn’t take a swipe at X...it was just a sarcastic comment about both Q and Naji shooting below 30% from 3. Just pointing out that if the list is looking for good or even decent shooters, those two being omitted made sense.

And am I now to assume that Marcus Howard is a shutdown defender and great rebounder b/c he is first team All-BE? So all those players have zero parts of their game to improve?

Neither Q or Naji are shooting guards. If you were to critique anyone here it'd be scruggs. I think he could've made it, but he seems to be underrated in general.

Yeah according to the X fans the 1st team all-BE should be Powell, Howell and the “NIT core 4” from X.

X fans can dish it out... taking on the other hand :?:

Whole lot of projection going on there with the hysterical/insecure type insults.
