Seriously thought it would hurt you when he left, but you have a really good one in Steele.

DEFINITELY HURT YOU more than anything....Chris Mack was absolutely miserable in coaching against Nova. And alot of us are happy as hell he’s outta here because of it.

Now Steele on the other hand had great success as a FIRST TIME HC against a senior laden Nova squad that was ranked in all 3 contests. AND he did it with a patchwork roster! His defensive game plan at Cintas was masterful and had our core 4 been able to get some decent back up and could finish that last 7 minutes in MSG with fresh legs...no OT...different story.

Now, having said all that, someone explain how VU is ranked over X? You’ve always just MASSACRED us from distance with multiple snipers but you’ll need more than Gillespie for that to continue. And your freshman must be pre-anointed superstars because if not, Gillespie, Bey, Samuels, Swider, Roundtree not that intimidating.

Great ball movement makes a bunch average to good shooters look like great shooters. Whether we get great ball movement is the million dollar question. I don't like Gillespie running the show.

Just so I understand...1-2 vs Nova (who lost 4 underclassmen to the NBA in the off-season) is considered doing: “great!?” Butler and CU beating us twice in the same season is great. Losing 2/3? I think you need a different term there.

How are we ranked ahead of X? Did I miss your overall body of work last year? Didn’t you guys lose a lot of games and miss the tourney? Did you miss the last 6 years where we’ve either won the regular season or BET each year? Like KU in the B12 I think a lot of people simply think: “until someone can prove that they can knock them off consistently, I’ll go with the safe pick.” I think the only team that could make an argument for being in the top spot in the preseason polls is SHU. Potential AA/POY, 4 starters back, made the tourney, established coach, etc.

And throwing shade at our talent? Really? Why is it that every year 2-3 players take huge steps forward and become all league after the core of the team moves on? Can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard Nova was “going to take a step back” now that: Hilliard-Arch-Ochefu-Hart-Brunson-Bridges (I guess now Booth and Pashall) leave. X might very well end up ahead of Nova in the standings this year, but your inability to grasp or accept that some might believe otherwise is a bit comical, no?

If X does, I hope you do enjoy it. Truth be told I’ve enjoyed the matchups vs SHU, PC, Butler and CU a bit more as they’ve been much more competitive. We’ve stomped you guys so much in the past several years it’s just kind of expected.

But you guys have a nice program. I would expect at some point you’ll be able to turn the tables on beating Nova, perhaps win a BET, make a FF, pull in a big bunch of (NCAA) tourney credits. I’m pulling for you. ;)
