Absolutely Huskers. Born and raised. Both parents' alma matter as well as 20-some aunts and uncles (11 of 12 of my dad's siblings, and all three on my mom's side - along with many spouses). First college football game I attended was Oklahoma 1972 with my Grandpa (year after the Game of the Century - Johnny Rodgers was still there). Family regularly watched and attended games. Tore my heart out when they lost (which wasn't so much in those days). Used to follow UNO also, until they dropped the program.
But, good golly did I hate Joe Cipriano style basketball (husker coach during the 70s), so Creighton was a perfect compliment for the basketball season. Attended CU Bball games regularly growing up in the 70s and then got my two degrees from Creighton. Raised my kids on Creighton basketball, even through life took them elsewhere for college. Certainly not near as passionate about Big Red football as in my youth, but when football season rolls around there really isn't any other team I have any connection to so might as well stick with the home team - hard as that has been over the last decade plus, but things are looking up finally.
Always cracks me up when certain Jays fans say you can't be a Husker football fan, even if you grew up in Nebraska, but its o.k. for them to be a football fan of their homestate or hometown football team.
