The entire premise is how with UConn gone the AAC is not longer relevant to the Big East going forward. It did have some relevance these past 6 years, and for a very good reason (UConn).

The AAC has only had relevance in Stever20's eyes.

Nope. I've always said UConn was the only team from that conference that mattered, and now that's proven true. Going forward I can definitely agree.

The new Era is officially Big East vs the P5. I am not sure how this play out in the long term but you can be damned sure the P5 will do the best they can to push us out if they can.

They are not returning. Stop attempting to write revisionist history. Let the past stay in the past.

We have the current Big East now. The bickering over which iteration was/is the best is also old news. The OBE was what it was and this iteration is what it is. Let's all live in the present
with an eye towards our collective futures. We have a very promising future ahead of us. Let the past stay in the past. You folks keep nostalgically eyeing the rearview mirror and the Big 3 (Butler, Cr8n, & X) are gonna
dust your butts. Learn from history, don't keep reliving it. And stop playing Bayheim in the Garden.

Lol, the same team that just lost their coach, has the #99 incoming class, and can't get past the first Tournament weekend. Not the team that has won all the championships.

All those consecutive first weekend exits are a big deal. Nevermind the fact that without UCONN, the AAC would have exactly 1 Sweet 16 to its name.

With UConn's departure, it has truly come full circle: the conference that was once Big East Football, and formerly the American, shall now be known as...

CONFERENCE USAAC!

Let's take a look at that bell cow. And I'll be fair.

UC finally put money into the 5/3 Center and it appears as though they cleaned up bad architecture from the (I assume) 80's. Cronin, who was a disaster from a PR standpoint, brought UC back to a level of respectability, though he was too much about defense and generally clueless about offense.

The big public school in Clifton historically ruled the roost in the Queen City, but not in recent time, and certainly not now with Xavier in the BE and UC in the mid-major AAC. UC has done an excellent job of making sure that police horses are no longer at risk, but it's still UC.

It probably isn't fair to take the position that Xavier owns the Bearkittens. We only stand at 8 out of the last 12 against the kittens. It will likely go to 9 out of 13 this year at the Cintas Center.

UC is the bell cow of the AAC? Love it.
