Would Zion be a household name is he was entering the draft after a year in New Zealand rather than after a year at Duke and having been on ESPN all the time?

RJ Hampton, a five-star prospect, announced his decision to play professional basketball overseas and forgo his NCAA eligibility on Tuesday.

Hampton signed a contract with the New Zealand Breakers of the Australian National Basketball League, becoming the first American player to willingly bolt for an international pro contract for reasons that weren't academic or eligibility related.

Why is everyone acting like Brandon Jennings didn’t do the same exact thing 10 years ago? I don’t think it makes a huge impact either way on his future in the NBA. He’ll get drafted in the teens whether he went to college or Australia and from there on, he’s in the league, potential turns into production or it doesn’t.
