I was wrong about AZ states final 4's. Someone posted that about Hurley and I believed it. The other stuff is true.

Oh im not miserable, quite the opposite. I was miserable the last month of the season as we constantly shit the bed. I think if we hire either Hurley or Cluess we will have a quality coach for the next half decade at least so im all good. Just pointing out how hysterically inaccurate your post was.

St. John's has landed three-star PG Jon McGriff, he tells me. "When I talked to Coach Anderson, he was big on having a lot of heart. Me having a chip on my shoulders, eveything I’ve been through, that's who I am. I’m ready to come in and ready to compete and play." #sjubb

Very quick, good handle, penetrating guard. Kid had offers from K St, Minnesota, VCU and being recruited by Michigan. His stock was really on the rise. Good first signing for Anderson.

Winners/losers from the NBA draft combine according to USA Today:

LOSERS
Shamorie Ponds. The St. John’s elite scoring guard posted the second-highest body fat percentage at the combine (9.8 percent). While that’s hardly something most teams will harp on, Ponds is in a unique situation as a projected late second-round pick, even with flashes of great play in scrimmages with offensive creativity and defensive eptitude. He’s also only 5-11 without shoes and trying to show he belongs — something that didn’t seem to come through at this combine due to lack of strength and efficiency.

Two bits of good news over the past 24 hours:

Bishop Loughlin's Julian Champagnie has committed to St. John's. Quality three-star recruit. Mike Anderson's first local commit. #sjubb

St. John's is hiring Northwester Florida State JUCO coach Steve Demeo to complete Mike Anderson's staff, according to sources. #sjubb

Good start. I think Anderson needs to do what Mullin struggled with. Start stocking the program with 3-4 year players. Get 3 and 4 star kids who will stick around and develop. Use transfers periodically and strategically but not as the primary way to build the program. Build a culture. Cooley has done it at PC, Willard at SHU, Ewing at G'town. Put a line in the sand that defines your culture and look for young kids who will buy in and become studs by year 3-4.
