Good season, Villanova. With all that you lost last year, winning the Big East Tournament and getting to the Round of 32 would be (I think) a successful season for Wright and staff. Nova is still the class of the league, should be the example each of our programs aspires to be.

I'm a bit disapppointed in the BEast and Nova, as now the talking heads will get back on the "BE is weak" horses and try to beat down the conference, again.

Had Nova to the FF and in a couple of my brackets they won it again...oh well. Disappointed we only got 4 bids and 5 credits...back to the drawing board.

as one person said earlier...no reason to watch the tourney anymore...except love for the game.

Yea you guys got nothing from quinerly, swider, and slater. all top 50 guys. but they're freshmen and you can't expect too much from them. i think the biggest problem is that your sophomore class isn't very good. roundtree downright stinks, samuels doesn't seem comfortable/assertive enough, and gillespie just isn't all that talented. and of course not having any juniors at all leaves a hole in the roster.

actually, i take that back a little harsh on the grades, not having any juniors is the biggest problem.

Well to be honest, I think Jay was expecting to have both D Divincenzo and Spellman on the roster this year when trying to plan his recruiting classes. Spellman, had he not been screwed by the NCAA, would have been in this Jr class as well as DD (after his freshman year redshirt). I think when things like losing 4 underclassmen to the NBA in the same year happen, you just dig in, grind and hope for the best. That is pretty much our season in a nutshell.

Gillespie is a good (not great) player. He does a lot of things well. He's just not a stud Nova guard and we've been spoiled with 7 years of Arch and Brunson. I think Samuels has a chance to be All-league good. Kid is a physical freak and he improved his outside shooting tremendously year over year, and even as the season wore on. He just needs confidence. DCR needs to shoot the ball every waking moment from today until October. He can't be on the floor for long stretches in the Nova offense if he can't shoot the ball. Otherwise 10 mins / game as a serviceable backup.
Go Nova!
