Ouch. 2 ugly losses and with SHU an underdog it may quickly be all up to Nova again

I figured this might be a tough game, but I don't think anyone expected this type of beatdown. I guess the league really wasn't that good this year.

The problem with that is that the haters already think the league is Villanova and the nine dwarfs. This doesn't help battle that perception.

Right - and while we know this is a one-off down year, the haters are also going to claim it as evidence that they were correct with their predictions of the league's imminent decline. It'll be important to get a strong bounce-back from everyone next year.

Yeah, league wasn't too good, but some of it is just bad breaks. St. John's was not one of the four best teams in the Big East by the end of the year. Xavier and Creighton were definitely better than them by the end, and I'd put Georgetown ahead too. I'm confident that if Xavier or Creighton had been able to finish their late-season runs, they would have represented the Big East better. The Big East's fourth team was more realistically the seventh best team. Oh well. Then, Marquette really flagged down the stretch and then they had to face a good mid-major led by a top 5 pick in the NBA draft this year. Finally, Seton Hall has to face a really good mid-major, which is a really tough draw for a 10 seed compared to the other 7 seeds. I'm not writing Seton Hall off, but that's rough.

Expecting two high scorers to simultaneously put on a performance is a lot to ask.

Ja Morant: 17 points, 16 assists, and 11 rebounds.

Markus Howard: 26 points, 2 assists, and 2 rebounds.

Neither player had their best game, but they surely put on a performance.

Yeah. From ESPN3. won't be much of a change. The games that have been on ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU aren't moving.
