As there are only five known Arizona State fans living in Dayton, I expect that St. Johh's will enjoy a near-homecourt reception from the fans at UD Arena.

bad matchup for St John's from what I can see on Ken Pom....

Arizona St one of the better rebounding teams around- #50 offensively(going up against #246 defense St John's), and #95 defensively(going up against #342 offense St John's).

and then foul drawing. Arizona St is the 6th best team in the country at going to the line offensively. St John's is #306.

Of all 4 1st 4 teams, St John's drew by far the worst matchup possible for them I think.

Not expecting a win, but just happy to make it. I have zero expectations for St. John's to make any type of a run, as we've only won two in a row once since Jan 6th. As for this game, actually prefer going into it as a (very minor) underdog. We seem to play at our best in those type of games. Not that we should need any more motivation than being in the freaking NCAA Tournament (LOL), but who knows.

I’ve been the ultimate St. John’s pessimist down the stretch here and for good reason.

But I think they win this one. They win a close one and then give Buffalo a good battle. Hope I am right
