Great get had been rumor last few days. More rumors that 2021 5* Jonathan Kuminga (PF) #6 in the USA may move up to 2020 to join Tabor. Not holding my breath but would be insane if true. Would probably make us top 25 recruiting class if not top 15.

By the way, UConn stole Sidney Wilson from us if you guys remember a 4 star recruit and he has been atrocious for them. So has Yakwe who transferred there from SJ...just funny to watch. UConn lost to USF and now 9-5.

Nate Tabor picked St. John's over LSU, West Virginia, East Carolina, Penn State, UConn and Illinois. Wanted to be close to Far Rockaway home. Felt no reason to wait. #sjubb

St. John’s landed a strong early 2020 pickup in 4⭐️Nate Tabor of @NYRhoops & Sacred Heart (CT). #SJUBB

Will fit in very well with the versatile roster that has been assembled. Coach Matt Abdelmissah was instrumental in landing Connecticut’s top 2020 prospect.

Nate Tabor said seeing Shamorie Ponds excel at St. John's played a factor in decision: “It attracted me in a big way; he’s from [the city] also. He grew up in a somewhat similar situation I’m in. He’s giving me motivation to go there and see what I can become.” #sjubb

“I’ve been thinking about this. I can picture being there and having fun,” said Tabor, who is averaging 20.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.5 assists for Sacred Heart. “When I went there, everything just felt right. I tried on the uniform. I was in the gym. I was thinking I can become better here, I can become the King of New York.

“I feel like me playing at home is basically giving back, showing how I appreciate my family, my friends. I don’t want to leave. I’m going to stay and help and build the program.”

I love when a NY kid doesn't want to leave ny, why not shine in the city that you grew up in.

Keep killing it Matt.

The lord giveth and the lord taketh away....Mikey Dixon who transferred in and sat out last year is transferring out....will have to sit out another year....apparently frustrated with playing time....

Not great news, but not that bad either. I never liked him on the court, Williams is a lot better.

It hurts depth, but he wasn't playing smartly when was playing. Constantly losing or not staying with his man on defense, and somewhat of a loose handle on offense. I thought he could be a decent spot-up shooter if used in certain situations.

I think Greg Williams was going to start slicing into his minutes in Big East play. Williams should offset the loss of Dixon.
