You're always great company Gumby... the weekend was a blast!

By the way, who took over #1 in the northeast region (Prov is #2?) after Villanova went National

Just to clarifty, doctoral programs means alot of PhD programs. Creighton does have alot of doctoral programs (MD, Dental, Law, Pharmacy, PT/OT, just not alot of PhD programs....).

I can confirm this...was hanging with Dr. Gtmo over the weekend.

Love seeing "the Doctor" making his entrance to the ballroom party to hang with "Mr. Please, Please", aka "the hardest working man in show business". Thanks for making me laugh this morning, 17 years after that horrible day in lower Manhattan, the Pentagon, and western Pa.

Replacement of prior post....Awkwardly done, I might add.
Xavier will surprise. Never count them out of the Dance.

PS: Congrats to The Butler University for diligently working over the years for improvement. It paid off this year in your tieing Creighton for #1.

Now is not the time to get big chested/big headed and begin to rest on your laurels. Creighton has been #1 for 16 years by digging deep and continuing to improve our programs, research, and outreach. We don't like ties and will continue to improve, so if the Bulldogs like this status - roll up your sleeves and "git to work" - we are. I luv a competitive race. -gtmo

This is a placeholder for when I find last week's WSJ college rankings. If you have a digital sub, go have a look. Otherwise, I'll post highlights when I get home.

I know Creighton comes in second in the BE at like 120. Georgetown is first at 30, and Nova is somewhere in the 140s. After that, it kinda drops off.

EDIT - Here's the list:

    Georgetown - 30
    Creighton - 120
    Nova - 124
    Marquette - 148
    Butler - 174
    Providence - 200
    DePaul - 257
    Xavier - 279
    Seton Hall - 319
    St John's - 406

Hoyas in last place??? that seems extremely harsh. I think they will be an NCAA bubble team (hopefully)
