FYI: Defending NCAA Champs that lose at least 3 guys to the pros in the NBA draft after winning an NCAA.
Nova lost 4 starters, so...it's NOT a given they will do well or return to the dance.

Maryland in 2002-03: Went 21-10 overall and 11-6 against league opponents. Earned a No. 6 seed and made the Sweet 16.
North Carolina in 2005-06: Went 23-8 overall and 13-5 against league opponents. Earned a No. 3 seed and lost in the second round of the NCAAs.
Florida in 2007-08: Went 24-12 overall and 8-9 against league opponents. Failed to reach the NCAA Tournament.
Kansas in 2008-09: Went 27-8 overall and 14-3 against league opponents. Earned a No. 3 seed and made the Sweet 16.
North Carolina in 2009-10: Went 20-17 overall and 5-12 against league opponents. Failed to reach the NCAA Tournament.
Kentucky in 2012-13: Went 21-12 overall and 12-7 against league opponents. Failed to reach the NCAA Tournament.

Duke in 2015-16: Went 25-11 overall and 12-8 against league opponents. Earned a No. 4 seed and made the Sweet 16.

Well, when you put it like that... losing 4 of the top 6 guys. damn. well, care to make a wager? I believe Nova will muddle through and somehow back their way into an NCAA bid. Do you GTMO?

I've picked Nova 5th...they will dance. BE should get 5-6 this year.

Top 144 Countdown has the Hoyas at 70, 7th in the BE.

Johnnies were 8th and the first conference team to make the list. DePaul obviously 10th, not sure who else didn't make the top 144, even with all the rebuilds.

Wiz... The other to not make the list will be either Creighton or Seton Hall. Probably the Jays.

Found an article on my boy...Paschall. Nice stuff by Boozell at NCAA.

Providence shows up at #62.

Like I've said before you take the last 16 teams in and first 16 teams out- Right now PC is the 14th team out of the NCAA- and it's pretty much the same thing to me. 1-2 games is all that seperates those teams end of the season.

Providence at 62, 6th in the BE. Ridiculous.

I don't know about that. I mean right now there are 13 NIT teams to go before NCAA teams start showing up. I know Lunardi didn't have Providence either in or as one of the 1st 8 teams out. So there's not much difference there at all.
