He singled out Butler and Xavier because they're in the same category. DePaul and Marquette are considered National Universities because they offer doctoral programs, while Butler, Creighton and Xavier do not. Providence was ranked #2 in Regional Universities in the North, while the rest of the schools in the league are considered National Universities.
