9,500 people per game?????
I don't understand how estimates like that can actually be accepted when there are millions of dollars on the line. All they had to do was ask a single season ticket holder if that was realistic and they would've gotten the answer "Hell No!"

It gets worse... there were only four games last year where the arena was more than half full. One of those games was the first game against Notre Dame, but even that game still had over a 1,000 empty seats. For seven of the home games last year, there were under 2k fans in the stands. Again, the approval of this project was secured because certain leaders promised 9,500 per game. As awful as that sounds, it's even worse that the same leadership has been saying that attendance is "significantly better" than at Allstate Arena. It has not improved at all.
