6'4 PG from NC committed to Creighton today. Under the radar player whose recruitment was picking up recently with offers from Providence, Iowa State, Creighton, Tulsa and Kansas State. Creighton, Tulsa and Kansas State saw him in an open gym last week and all offered that day. Visited on an official this weekend and committed. 3 star Rivals. Also has a 4.0+ GPA.

Nice job. McDermott must do a hell of a job with his visits. A few times now I feel like creighton gets verbals on a visit or directly after

Corey Evans (east coast recruiting guru) and Justin Young did a podcast and were VERY complimentary to Davion Mintz. Other than calling us a non-major and saying our coach is "Doug McDermott," they said some very nice things about Davion and Creighton. Start at the 20:00 minute mark.

After scoring a career high 41 points last week, Davion scores 43 points today on 10-13 from 3. He's looking like a steal hopefully.

He plays in Charlotte in the largest school classification in NC, so we are puzzled by his lack of ranking, but really glad we got him!
