Maliek White to PC, so scholarship offer to Ponds is likely off the table (limited openings at PC for next year and they need bigs). Will be interesting to see if Ponds pulls the trigger for SJU now.

Final 4 was St Johns, Providence, Creighton, Minn
Last couple weeks it looks like he/his family were torn between St. Johns and Providence.
There where rumblings that he may announce last Friday for Providence.
That didn't happen. PC got a commitment from White over the weekend on his visit.
Ponds just set up a press conference for tomorrow. It looks like the White commitment made it alot easier for him to decide.
There had been whispers that he may re-open his recruitment and sign inthe spring.
But if he is announcing tomorrow, all signs point to St. Johns. At least he stays in the BEast!

I'm sorry, but I never heard those rumblings you speak of from last Friday. Unless, those rumblings were coming from the Providence partisan. I'm not saying those rumblings didn't exist, but I didn't hear it. The rumblings for awhile has been St. John's. The only "rumblings" had been Providence had made some ground. That's about it. The "whispers" about him opening up his recruitment came from Zags. There wasn't anything concrete.

I really believe the Providence staff pushed for White's commitment because they probably had information Ponds was gonna soon announce for St. John's. Good get for the Friars.

I hope to see fans of St. John's celebrate a commitment from a top 50 player tomorrow.
