St John'ss, Creighton, Providence, and Minnesota.

Ranked 45th on the Rivals site and 67th on 247.

He is presumably a St John's lean, no? Looks like he would be a great get for any of the three BE schools

Minnesota is out, will decide between Creighton, Providence and SJU soon so we know he is Big East bound.

Sounds like it's gettIng a bit dicey. Shamorie apparently wants to go to SJU, Parents think it's best for his development as a person to get out of the city. Seems up in the air. SJU fans now saying that PC staff pulling the race card by pointing out to Ponds that there is not one African-American on the SJU staff. This one is going down the the wire.

On a side note, SJU should probably rectify that, when 85% of the players in CBB are African American the staff should have at least some representation. I'm not African American but if I was I would wonder why not for sure.

Someone, believed to have access to Ponds' recruitment, heard PC is pulling the race card.

I agree, with your reference about St. John's should have some form of African American representation on their coaching staff. Mitch Richmond is waiting in the wings. Or, that is being told.

Looking from an outside perspective, not sure why St. Jean was given the other assistant coach position and not Richmond.

I agree. I think Richmond will be on staff in some capacity.

Should be BE bound regardless which is good. The whole race thing sucks, even if it is being brought up I hate that fans are mentioning it. If untrue than it makes everyone look bad. Ponds is a stud, selfishly I hope he stays home, will be an exciting player to watch regardless of where he deos end up.

Zach B tweeting it looks good for Johnnies.

To me that race garbage would disqualify my kid from going to that school. It shouldn't make a difference.
As long as the coaches know what they're doing and prepares my kid for the NBA.

That's the only thing that would matter to me. Not that race crap.
