Interesting little list by USA Today. They create a list of players who play behind a bigger star during high school, but are poised to break out during college. Includes two Big East Recruits:

Desi Rodriguez, F, Lincoln (Brooklyn, N.Y.). While Isaiah Whitehead is the go-to guy for the Railsplitters, Rodriguez always seems to be in the right place, getting plenty of garbage buckets and rebounds. He also can create his own opportunities with a solid mid-range jumper. If, like McDermott, he continues to work hard, he could be a standout at Seton Hall, especially if fellow Pirates recruit Whitehead goes pro early.

Paul White, F, Whitney Young (Chicago). Dolphins center Jahlil Okafor looks like a future NBA lottery pick, a center ready made for the league. In his shadow is forward Paul White, who frequently guards the other team’s best player, bedeviling smaller players with his length (he’s 6-9) and wearing out bigger players. He is a natural rebounder with good hands, has a solid mid-range shot and is at his best when he runs the floor. Because of Okafor, White sometimes has a tendency to float on the outside, which doesn’t mesh that well with his skill set, but rest assured he will fit in quite well at Georgetown. Sunday, he led No. 29 Whitney Young with 19 points and 11 rebounds in a 53-50 upset of No. 4 Oak Hill

All McD Team - Outside of the Hoophall Classic

Before the season started I would have said Kelan Martin should have been on that list because of playing with Quentin Snider at Ballard, but now no way now. No knock on Snider but Martin is the better player at this point IMO.

Ronnie Harrell should be on that list though. SG Dom Collier is definitely the man on a very good Denver East program.
