Got to watch a couple of Bishop Laughlin (5-1) games in the Beach Ball Classic held in Myrtle Beach. Khadeen's game is strong & explosive. On the season Carrington is averaging 24.2 ppg, 3.3 rpg & 2.5 apg. The lefty looks like he's modeled his game off of Russell Westbrook. From college he reminds me of former uconn guard Tony Roberson, maybe not as much ups but stronger.
So far BL is 2-0 heading into the semi-finals of the BBC against Providence (FL) & 5* Duke signee Grayson Allen (He's not overrated, this dude is going to be a problem next year). In the first game he couldn't be stopped by Norcross in a 50-46 win. In game 2 he faced Franklin (OH) & 5* jr SG Luke Kennard (Rivals #15). He was held to 2 pts & 2 mins in the first half by foul trouble but went for 12 in second half in the 71-46 blowout win.

Carrington, who is committed to Seton Hall, hit a free throw with 17 seconds left to give the Lions a four-point lead and the victory. Carrington was 9-for-15 from the field and finished with a game-high 12 rebounds for a double-double. “From the tip my shot was falling so I just tried to keep it going and tried to get some easy baskets,” he said. “I kept it going for the whole game so I guess it was a good night for me.”

The Luke Kennard show found its way down to Myrtle Beach this week. Apparently Bishop Loughlin had heard about it, and RSVPd to the party...Led by 6’3 Seton Hall commitment Khadeen Carrington and 6’2 Rutgers commitment Mike Williams Bishop Loughlin showed a tough brand of ball that attacked on both ends. Carrington, who was strapped with foul trouble in the first, finished with 14 points on 7-10 from the field.

Bishop Loughlin (NY) dominated play on both ends of the court Saturday night to advance to the 2013 Beach Ball Classic semifinals with a 71-46 victory over Franklin (OH). Bishop Loughlin (5-1) never trailed in the contest and built leads as large as 25 points as they were able to contain Franklin’s Luke Kennard, the number one rated junior by most in the nation. Kennard connected on just 3-of-11 shots from the field but did hit 9-of-10 free throws for 15 points, well below his average of over 40 points per game.
