Nice Win Jays. Butler beat Cincinatti and Morehead State today and faces Tennessee for the Cinci tournament championship. Not near the level of beating BYU but down a starting outside a good start.

Great work to both squads. Keep up the good work!
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

#25 Creighton beats MAC favorite Bowling Green 3-0 to sweep the Hampton Invitational by going 2-0.

Very impressive. Butler beats Tennessee 3-0 to win the Cinci tournament.

On a not so impressive note the eastern teams getting beat by Patriot League teams:

Georgetown loses to American
Seton Hall loses to Washington State, Alabama, and squeaks by Army
St Johns loses to Colgate

These losses will hurt our conference RPI

Villanova loses to Central Michigan, Oregon State but beats Oakland
DePaul beats Chicago State and Providence. (Both 300+ RPI teams)

So is the league going to do a preseason poll? It appears we are one of the few leagues without one.

Ask and you shall receive. No surprise, Creighton #1 and Marquette #2.

Preseason BIG EAST Poll
1. Creighton (7) 63
2. Marquette (2) 57
3.. Xavier 50
4. Seton Hall 38
5. St. John’s 36
6. Butler 26
7. Villanova 25
8. DePaul 16
9. Georgetown 13

Hard to see Butler finishing 6th after the week 1 results. Not so sure Xavier doesn't beat Marquette.

Really excited to see Creighton start so well. This area has been dominated by Nebraska volleyball for a long time and the Huskers are a national power, but Creighton has a new arena and it's developing a fan base so the future looks great here.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.
