I agree. Hypothetically If Stevens left, I wonder how soon Graves would be back in the fold. I'm in Indy so follow the situation pretty closely over there. I just don't see it.

One of the sports radio guys through out on Twitter last night that If talks between Stevens and UCLA get serious IU may be forced to act. There are some in the IU alumni base who really want him, even if it means sending Crean out the door.

1. Brad Stevens isn't leaving Butler.

(They are actually working on a long term contract. Id guess itll look like Hoiberg's 20 million dollar/10 year deal)

2. They'll pay 2(ish) million dollars a year for a coach. Someday, if they actually have to hire someone, they'll be able to get all the coaches that would be in the pool who'd accept such a contract (say, a guy like Andy Enfield for example)

Looks like he is staying. With the new BE money BU should up that pay a bit...

Yeah, Howland for Alford? Doesn't seem like a great trade...

New Mexico didn't either. Alford had just agreed to a 10 year extension and the AD said no one from UCLA called to ask permission to speak with Alford.

Didn't ask for permission? Are they allowed to do that? Is that an abuse of protocol?

As for the hire for UCLA...meh. Probably even a downgrade.
