My 0.02
What a year! Could’ve been better but it was still a damn good season for these dudes. 25 wins. 2 of those wins were over eventual Final Four teams and one of those was the first ever win over a #1 team in UConn and they blew them out! Finished 2nd in the league. Beat every team in this league at least once. Made it back to the Sweet 16 for the 3rd time in 4 years. It wasn’t long ago when we thought this team could NEVER break through to the 2nd weekend. Hell I thought it’d never happen at one point. Now, at this point, we’re a regular there. This group really did raise that bar for this program. 8 tournament victories these past 4 years with 3 sweet 16s and 1 Elite 8 is nothing to hang your head about. Baylor and Bello are for sure gone and Baylor will go down in history as one of the programs all time greats. The guy could very well have his jersey retired. We’ll see what Ryan and Trey decide to do as they both have 1 more year of eligibility left. If CU can return at least 1 of those 2 while guys like Steven, Mason and Jasen stick around, this group should be very good once again. I also really like this incoming recruiting class that features the highest ranked recruit in program history in McAndrew. Future is looking good!

Frederick King is in the portal. I thought he was coming on early in the year. But his playing time really dwindled for a reason and so I’m not terribly surprised by this. Wish Fred the best!

This was not a surprise. I think a lot of folks hoped that he might decide to come back for one more year, but we are thankful for what he contributed to the school. He was a good kid and well liked by everyone. Good representative. Wishing him well at the next level.

No announcement of any kind from Ryan Kalkbrenner. Deadline to declare for the NBA draft passed at midnight. Not I guess we’ll see what happens.
