Scuttlebutt is we played VCU over the weekend and won by 12-15 pts. Daniels, Dixon and Slater each scored around 20 pts and lead the way. Any other (unofficial) reports out there?

Creighton played Iowa State on Saturday. Supposedly won by 20+. Scheierman almost with triple double, Kalkbrenner dominated.

Good to hear about both DePaul and CU taking care of business. In the case of Iowa St., we've got them on the schedule early this year, so hoping they take some time to gel. Gonna be a brutal in-conference year yet again.

I think Iowa State is going to struggle to score. Their best player from last year (Brockington) is in the NBA now and their PG (Tyrese Hunter) transferred to Texas. I looked thru their basketball boards looking for any information about the scrimmage (which was acknowledged that Jays won handily) and many posters talked about not knowing who's gonna get buckets for them. They mugged their way to a win in Omaha (64-58) last year in a game that was 23-23 at the half. Jays committed (or were forced into) 21 turnovers. They have one kid (Grill) that was 4-4 from 3 last year and he's still in Ames.

If you take care of the ball, seems like a dub to me.

Creighton defeats Drury 109-57 in our exhibition game tonight.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.
