Cool interview about Nova hoops

Came across this today and found it pretty interesting. They interviewed the reporter who covers Villanova basketball for the Philly Inquirer and he offered some good insights into Jay Wright’s retirement and the outlook for the Big East as a whole. They’re also giving away a signed DiVincenzo jersey if you’re into that sorta thing.

yep. It was good to hear Ol' Mike giving out the party line.

Folks are really banking on the 2 frosh to come in and produce right away. Jensen, being an old head, stressed
the usage of some of the guards currently riding pine, to step up...in Nova fashion, and good producers. Ah yes...
faith in 'the system'.

To Kyle's credit he helped in creating that system, so in all likelihood, the system will remain intact. The question
becomes whether or not the current crop of players can meet the expectations therein. IMHO Poppin Fresh, Slater,
and Daniels are a good core, but do not put the fear of God in anyone's hearts. Thinking that Arcidiancono, Brizzi, or
Longino will make the step up to starters is a big leap of faith - even given Nova's history of internal promotions.

Little ol' git thinks that Nova will miss both Justin Moore AND Bryan Antoine...more than most folks think at this point.

Some A-hole, in the comments-stirring the pot, predicted a 13-18 campaign for Neptune's 1st Cats squad. Hmmm, I wonder... who that
could be?

It's damn near July already. August 15th is around the corner. If I had to pull a wild-ass guess out now...I'd say 4th or 5th in
the BEAST for the Finneranites...in the BE that's 20 w's & dancin'. However, things will change between now and mid-August.
PROV - X - UC_NT - Nova - StJ/But - MARQ - SH - lil' Cr8n - Dep - GTWN ...in BE pre-seaason coaches poll order.

Here's hoping that Adoraz's quote (finding a way for relevance) holds true for dear ol' Nova. #RollRadnoritesRoll

Lundari's June 14, 2022 preseason bracket has six BE Teams in, with PROV the 1st team out.
I've gotta think that the #3 & #4 teams in this coming season's BE will be better than 8-seeds.
But it is Lunardi, and Joe has been known to be incorrect before.

lil Cr8n - 3 seed
Nova - 4 seed
Xav - 8 seed ??
UCONN - 8 seed ??
StJ - 10 seed
SH - 11 seed, among the last 4 in.
PROV - 1st team out.

For a fan of the team that every prognosticator is picking to be the top of the league, that Omahanian insecurity sure seems to be shining brightly. Or are you playing 3D chess while lil ol’ Gumby is fumbling around with checkers?

The reality is for the first time since year 1 of the league, there is one team that is EXPECTED to win the conf title over the Cats. No need to worry about anyone else. You guys are the top dog, the big cheese, the head honcho…. I mean with all that talent, and with a coach who has been in place for a decade +, there’s no possible way they could watch the Cats raise another banner, right? Inconceivable! The Jays will be the hunted; that’s an awful lot of expectations being asked of a lot of young kids. Don’t worry…Nova has always struggled plugging the next guy in when great players graduate. And Armstrong and Whitmore both showed on the international stage that they’re probably not ready to contribute much this year.

When is Justin Moore coming back?

Perhaps sooner than originally expected…

Either way we Nova fans know we’ve got NO shot this year.

Nice try.

Never rule out the Imperial Forces from Radnor.
