Gumby - too funny - it was a dig at an A10 school, but that’s easy to do, and it provides a good start to the thread:

Dead Hawk Safety School that rips its way towards Omaha:

Grew up on the Big 5. Doubleheaders in the Palestra...when college basketball was king in the City of Brotherly Love. Recall being at one of those when Penn-St Joe’s played in the opener. Penn fans chanted and waived to the Hawk student section: “Villanova safety school!” The other two fan sections joined in. Was a tremendous atmosphere back in the day.

Of course Nova is a Penn safety school...those smart Ivy League kids knew the Nova dig would especially sting the Hawk faithful.

Of course here in the BE we have hoops safety schools. All those east coast recruits that Jay doesn’t want often go out to Omaha. **Cough-cough-Mo-cough-Watson-cough**. Bazinga!

Butler or Georgetown?

Which fan base is more likely to walk into a wall with a box top stuck over their face?

Dash, as a Nova guy... I can say there is only one way to answer that question...

Chap, I know what you’re thinking, but Jesuit-centric people aren’t this....challenged. This has Butler written all over it!
