My 0.02:
UConn didn't have a very pleasant ending to the season but still, this is a program back on the rise. A whole bunch of players should be returning for next season and they've got a good recruiting class coming in. Bouknight is gonna be an All-American (if he isn't already one) and Sanogo is gonna be a force to be reckoned with in the future. I also like what I see from Martin and Cole. Dan Hurley is an excellent coach who's bringing UConn back!
UPDATE: Bouknight is gone. But UConn is still in good shape. Lots of talented players coming back and some good players coming in too. Huskies should remain in the top half of the conference

Whaley (BE Co-DPOY) & Polley (BE 6th Man) both returning to UCONN. Huskies still have 3 open schollies, but likely we only add 1 more (a guard either from the portal or a reclass).

Polley coming back is big, he provides a degree of shooting that they didn't have an easy way of replacing with any of the other 3/4s on the roster. Pretty complete roster aside from Bouknight leaving for the NBA (which is ultimately a good thing for the program).

I think UConn goes into Rock Fight U mode next year. I mean that in the most complimentary, non-disparaging way. Bouk was so dynamic and other than maybe Gaffney occasionally, I just don't see a lot of dynamic playmakers offensively. Maybe one of the forsh will surprise; Diggins seems very crafty. Cole is pretty solid, but not dynamic. Sonogo is a load down low for sure, and will be more of a focal point I'm guessing. But a lineup like Cole--Gaffney--Martin--Whalley--Sonogo, w/ Jackson and Polly off the bench, has the potential to be a meat grinder type team. They'll be really tough defensively...can go get the ball on both the offensive and defensive glass. Offensively, they're going to muck things up a bit I would guess. That'll be an interesting thing to watch for sure.

Diggins is crafty, but Hawkins is the one to keep an eye on if you're looking for a dynamic playmaker. I expect him to be a starter by the end of the season.

UConn is hiring assistant coach Luke Murray, sources told ESPN. Terrific hire by Dan Hurley. Reunites with Murray from their days at Rhode Island and Wagner. Extremely well-connected recruiter moving closer to home. Deep ties in the region.

Now, UConn will get Bill Murray at games. Not bad for business.
