My 0.02:
Oof. Providence's roller coaster of a season ended with a thud with the L to DePaul in the conference tourney. But PC has a LOT of returning pieces for next year. There's reason for optimism in Friartown. Ed Cooley is a decent coach but he's not a great coach IMO. He's gonna have to find a way to get the team to the dance next year. Only time will tell if he will or not...

Count on one more unexpected transfer. The player pool I would say that narrows it down to is: Jimmy Nichols, AJ Reeves, Ed Croswell, Jyare Davis, Alyn Breed, Brycen Goodine, and Jared Bynum. I don't think Bynum, Croswell, or Goodine are looking to relocate for a second time, so you can probably take the eraser to their names on my penciled down list. That leaves Nichols, Reeves, Davis, and Breed. I'm thinking it's probably Jimmy Nichols, and unfortunately I think it has more to do with health than anything. I do not know the full story, and this could just be a message board rumor, but he apparently was experiencing issues with seizures and had a seizure while driving which led to a car accident. Thankfully he is still alive, but there's rumblings that not much basketball will be played in Jimmy's immediate future. If all of this is the case, I think everyone can understand a transfer to be closer to home in South Carolina.

Surprised Watson and Duke would come back.

I'll believe it when summer rolls around if they enroll.

listened to his interview with Fanta

Wants to come back because he doesn't want to go abroad and thinks he can get to the NBA after a good year next year. In for a rude awakening. Hasn't thought about what he's going to get a masters in. Basically just doesn't want to go abroad because he doesn't want to leave America.

Pretty accurate assessments on PC by everyone in my opinion.

Next year there shouldn't be any early season adjustments, no new key pieces that have to fit in out of the blue, like Pipkins and Bynum the last two years.

We were inconsistent and frustrating to watch all year, though we had some great wins-- at Creighton, vs UConn, vs X, vs Villanova, at Seton Hall... the Johnnies gave us fits both games... we did win at TCU, and squeaked by Davidson to avoid disaster in the early tourney.

Alabama crushed us, but that looks ok now. Indiana also wallpped us, but that now looks like sh-t. We didn't play any in-state locals.

Fantastic that Watson and Duke are returning. Hopefully that magic we found at the end of the Pipkins year will come back. Sorry to see Gantt move on.

Note that Bynum had 62 assists and only 21 turnovers, and didn't have 6 early cupcake games to pad those numbers. His injury is overlooked as to why we laid some eggs, becayse losing s competent ballhandler who doesnt make mistakes is critical when the next guys on the depth chart doesnt match those numbers

Nichols is transferring now too. This is shaping up to be a rough season for the Big East.

PC has picked up a commitment from Top 75/100 combo guard Jayden Epps. Epps was a 2022 recruit who, I believe, will be reclassifying to 2021 and joining the Friars next season, so that’s another name we can add to the “in” list.
