Does that mean either one of the unanimous guys is POY?
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

If Mamu wins that’s even worse- Hell it’s way worse- Than Powell winning last year.

Bouknight should win POY. Not only does he lead the conference in scoring but:

They were 7-2 with him playing (one of those losses was an OT game vs CU)
They were 4-4 when he was injured

They finished in the top 3. Who knows what their season might have looked like had he played all season. No player had a bigger impact for their teams success. How could he not get it?

Probably will be JRE. Not being unanimous shouldn't preclude you from getting POY, just makes it less likely. Unless there is something that says it has to go to a a player that was unanimous. I bet the vote for POY was really split this year. No clear winner!

Huh? What Big East planet are we living on? This is a COACHES AWARD. The SENIOR GILLESPIE will grab the accolades. His injury seals the deal.
Wisdom is what you get 5 seconds after you needed it.

In no reality does Kalk not get All Frosh...the guy simply plays near perfect basketball in his minutes played..... I would take Lewis over Sanogo.

Gillespie should win POY. They were 11-3 with him playing (one of those games vs Bouknight and UConn). They were 0-1 with him injured. They finished 1st and were top 10 in the country most of the year. No player had a bigger impact for his team’s success (which actually led to a conference championship banner).

BTW, with JB in the lineup UConn was also 0-2 vs the 2 other tourney teams in the league. So there’s that.
