Saturday Showdown in Omaha

Postby GumbyDamnit! » Fri Feb 12, 2021 7:41 am

Here we go. The 2 ranked teams in conference finally meeting this season. AA candidate PG vs AA candidate PG. A team that likes to shoot the 3 vs the team that really likes to shoot the 3.

Let’s go Git, and Django and Omaha and Jet. Who ya got? Where Chap and kayako and Westbrook? C’mon need some pregame trash talking to ensue. Enough with the cumbaya.
Go Nova!

Gumby, we got this! I am just waiting on GTMO's inevitable prediction that Nova is ripe, vulnerable, etc. and his Jays are gonna trounce us. Always bet against GTMO's prognostications (see Marquette finishing top 2 or 3 this year!!).

Seriously, looking forward to a really good game. Seems like Creighton has been on the cusp all year but can't get over the hump to be dominate. Probably happen tomorrow, lol. I think it comes down to if Samuels and JRE continue their hot shooting. Certainly don't see this as a defensive struggle, game will be in the upper 80's and hopefully is entertaining. Go Cats! Go Cats! Go Cats!

ALWAYS bet against gtmo! I got Nova.... 8-) ;)

Agree that it should be a great game. Rumors have it that Omaha has given an
Exemption for a full house. Really missing JRE. How’s Poppin Fresh doing?

I’ve got my tickets for tomorrow. Jays have played great at times, but I think the lack of crowds has hurt us at home where the 17000 fans usually give the team a boost.

Should be a good game. I’ll take Nova 66-63.

Even though SHU can't find a way to solve them, I feel like the Jays have been plagued by inconsistency this year. Their A game is certainly good enough to win, but what are the odds we get it? I'll take Nova due to their consistency giving me confidence that we'll get no worse than their B game, which has a good chance to be enough.

No more bets or predictions from me this year. We’ve underperformed and this is one of our last chances to redeem ourselves. As Omaha said we’ve been crapping our bed at the CHI so if I was stupid enough to bet my money would be for Nova. Hope I’m wrong.

Just noticed that Creighton has won four of their last five games, all of them on the road. The one loss was to Georgetown at home. Sheesh.

Jays fans trying to pull a reverse jinx and I’ll have none of it. Ballock goes off; Jays by 5.
