Scheduling adjustments needed

Postby Xuperman » Thu Jan 21, 2021 10:27 am

When will Val Ackerman start making scheduling adjustments? I mean its inevitable isn't it? At some point soon the conference records need to start evening up.

Still plenty of time but it shouldn't be taken for granted. Open dates should be filled at every opportunity and even 2 games in 2 days is a good idea.

Nova has to find 16 games, with X and DU needing 15. If time starts running out, I think that 4 healthy teams at one site would be a good option.

At this point, I suspect that in some private meeting, Big East leadership said, "We just need teams to get at least 13 games," but they didn't want to tell the public about that decision.

The BIG EAST Conference has announced that St. John's will play at Marquette Sunday, January 31, at 3:30 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on the FOX broadcast network.

St. John's was originally scheduled to play Connecticut, but the game was postponed.

Marquette and St. John's were originally scheduled to play in Milwaukee on Feb. 20.

I think some of these games are not going to be made up. We are getting down to the point where it may become difficult to do. It seems the teams are willing to play on the fly which helps. What a crazy season.

Nova has played FIVE conference games so far. No way are they going to play all 20.

We will have a ten-day gap in February thanks to the SJ game being moved. However, the games we had postponed have teams that already have games that week.

I think they are going to just move games around. I expect schedules to change to get as many games in as possible.

So how are they going to determine a champion if some teams don’t play a full schedule?
